Victor is a six year old Dutch Warm blood X gelding. He is by “Voltaire 2” out of a Aberlou mare “Victoria’s Secret”. I bought Victor as a 3 year old - unbroken, unhandled. His feet were in poor condition, very long in the heel - upright and very boxy. Jenny took to them with knife and rasp and I have continued to trim them. His feet are now in excellent condition, still boxy and small but healthy and tough. Victor has been “barefoot” all his life and has had no problems with soundness or balance - apart from regular schooling he is hacked over farmland, metal races and roads. He has now almost completed his first competitive year show jumping with my daughter, Kate, on board. His track record has been fantastic with a good number of ribbons to date. He is currently jumping 1.05m with ease (even in wet and slippery conditions) and is about to have a go at 1.10m.
