HOOF PRINT TESTIMONIALS

I feel compelled to write a letter as I have met with something that improves the health and welfare of horses, which is something that I am committed to doing.

I have six horses that range from 1 to 13 years old. I came into contact with Jenny and Paula in November 2002 and after talking to them and reading literature supplied by them and sourced by myself I made what I believe to be, an informed decision to change my hoof care program to their form of ‘Barefoot Trim’

I have continued with this program and it was the best thing I could ever have done for my horses.

In Quay A four-year-old thoroughbred filly, was termed as being badly cow hocked in her hind legs. She now stands with at least 80% improved angulation than ever before. I bred this filly myself and she has never had the luxury of this before.

Mon Quay a five year old thoroughbred gelding, ex-racehorse, has had 24 months of unbelievable trouble through abscesses erupting from the coronet in both fore legs. He has also had badly misshapen hooves in the fore in particular. He has suffered approximately 20 abscesses in this time, which rendered him lame on a near permanent basis. In the last four months he has enjoyed periods of up to 3-3.5 weeks without lameness. To me this is just awesome.

Rosie Brown a 13-year-old thoroughbred brood mare, has had an open dorsal crack in her offside fore hoof for the 24 months that I have had her. This is now fused and is nearly fully grown out.
She actually canters voluntarily with the others and does not suffer lameness afterward. In fact, the fact that she is able to play in this manner now is phenomenal.

The other three have not had any major defects/problems as such but I have observed a marked improvement in the shape, texture and strength of their hooves and their sure-footedness also.

All the horses are more active and playful amongst themselves. I believe that all horses deserve the right to be healthy and, as far as I am concerned, the ‘barefoot Trim’ employed by Jenny and Paula is essential in this. I have had horses since I was 12 years old and am now 34.
I have always known that the hooves where of great importance and have employed the services of farriers to tend to this. Now that I have experienced this form of ‘Barefoot Trim’ I am aware that although the previous hoof care I provided my horses with was at least care of some sort, this care far surpasses it.

I will be an avid advocate of this trim to all the horse oriented people I come into contact with in an endeavor to make life better for the horses and therefore the owners as well.

Thank you Jenny and Paula for all the great improvement for my horses and your dedication to your work.
