What the essential guidelines are for the rehabilitation period when horses go from shoes to barefoot Become aware of the impact an un-natural diet and living conditions can have on hoof/horse health All of these topics and many more are covered in a comprehensive two-day introductory clinic with a holistic approach to equine health incorporating the latest research and study along with time-honoured traditions Day 1 begins with a power point presentation covering the topics listed above. Questions are welcomed throughout the presentation and there will also be a question answer session at the end of the day. Freeze-dried lower limb hoof specimens, bones and a selection hoof boots styles and boot pads will be available for viewing/discussion. Day 2 focuses on the individual trimming needs for each horse along with gait and postural analysis and how deviation from a balanced stance can influence hoof growth patterns. After a demo trim owners who wish to learn how to maintain their own horses feet will be individually guided through the trimming of their own horse. The focus is on non-invasive trimming techniques and safe horse handling practises.
